A retreat home is bought to step back from the city. To then build it like the city — same envelope, same materials, same energy demand — defeats the point. Vamika's hill projects are designed against net-zero operational targets. The four pillars below are how.

Net-Zero
Operations

Energy modelling commissioned project-by-project against operational net-zero. Wall U-values, glazing g-values, and orientation modelled before architecture is signed off. The aim is a building that needs less, not one that compensates more.

Renewable
Always

On-site solar generation on every active development. Battery storage on hill projects where grid stability is a concern. Excess generation routed to common-area loads — the lift, the streetlights, the pump — not lost to net-metering.

Water
First

Rainwater harvesting, greywater reuse, low-flow fixtures specified. Hill projects designed with watershed sensitivity — site grading respects the natural catchment, not the convenience of construction. Annual water audit submitted with the residents' report.

Land
Returned

Existing trees surveyed before design. Three native-species saplings replanted for every one removed during construction. Survival rate audited annually. The biophilic plan is signed off before the structural drawings are.

What's standard

The credentials above are not all certified yet. Some are pursued, some are submitted, some are operational standards we hold ourselves to without external audit. We name each one honestly.

Standard — net-zero operational design, 3:1 replant ratio, on-site renewable, water reuse. Held internally. Not third-party certified.

In Process — IGBC certification on hill projects. BEE star rating on commercial. Submitted to issuing authorities; verifiable on issuance.

Verifiable — RERA registration on every active project. Energy modelling reports furnished on enquiry.
